For junior students, the Orientation Unit (OU) of the respective Bachelor's program is suitable; however, it will only take place again in the winter semester.

Is your question not listed?

Feel free to send us an email at oe-master@informatik.uni-hamburg.de.

What is a 2FA-list?

The University of Hamburg has introduced two-factor authentication (2FA) for all online services. Every person belonging to the university receives a 2FA code list. The codes on this list can be used as a second factor. When logging in, you will be asked to enter two specific codes from the list after entering your username and password.

As an alternative to using the 2FA code list, you can also register other devices with the university as a second factor. The 2FA-list is of course required to register the first device for 2FA. Devices that have already been added can then be used for all further actions, but the 2FA code list remains an option.

We're currently unsure how the university is handling the 2FA-list for new students. If you received one, please make sure to bring it with you.
